A Few Customer Reviews

Compelling Reading!

Danielle writes of living with her father (Dan), a Vietnam volunteer "tunnel rat" veteran. At first she adored him, accompanying Dan to his favorite bar (Danielle drank cherry Cokes), listening to his stories, watching the bar fights, and picking up a sharp tongue of her own. At home she looked through his Vietnam photos, and never discouraged him from retelling the stories she'd already heard numerous times.

A daughter's memoir of life with a dysfunctional family and PTSD Father

There are some books that you want to read for pure joy of entertainment but this is not one of those--this is a book that you will be compelled to read and unable to put down until you have read that last page and are totally emotionally exhausted! "Falling Through The Earth" by Danielle Trussoni is a heavy and deeply moving tale of her life living and surviving with her dysfunctional family and PTSD father.

This book was great

I could not put this book down - it was totally fascinating. I have read a lot of books on the Viet Nam war from the point of view of the soldiers, but hearing what it was like to grow up with one of them as your father was something new. Unlike some of the other reviewers I thought Ms. Trussoni's approach to her life history was not self-pitying at all.
