| A Few Customer Reviews
History Comes Alive ... Lately, I have been finding myself drawn to books that explores Pre-Colonial and Colonial history since it seems to be not as well-researched as say, The Civil War or any other historical periods in our collective memory. This book fit the bill especially since there's a rumor that one of my ancestors came over on the Mayflower. And for once, it wasn't dry or boring to read (a lot of history books tend to be like that ...). I enjoyed reading every single page of this book.
Seeds of a New Nation Nathaniel Philbrick's book Mayflower is a book that should be read by anyone interested in American history. For those who aren't history buffs, after reading this book, they will be.
The full story behind the household name. I love to read books that fill out my understanding of a word or concept from history that has become an entity unto itself. Philbrick's "Mayflower" is exactly that kind of book.
