A Description of High Crimes

Michael Isikoff delivers one of the most complete accounts of the Bush administration's incompetence, and exaggerated self-confidence to date. This work may be around as a source book of the Bush presidency, and it's pathological legacy.

Hubris Meets Nemesis

I almost gave this book four stars (see below). But it's the best thing yet that covers all of the Bush administration's lies, distortions, omissions, propaganda, and dissembling leading into and of the Iraq war. For those of us who tracked the various incidents over the years (mostly through the Internet) while the media put on skirts and pom-pons and lined up behind the war, this book is a superb distillation and compilation of the warmongers' deeds, often with greater detail than contemporary accounts and the clarity of hindsight to boot. For those who were unaware of the Bush lies or worse yet, thoughtlessly accepted them as God's truth, this book is an effective antidote.

A little-known academic

The subtitle of this book accurately sets forth the parameters of the book. I give Isikoff and Corn five stars for the amount of detail they provide. However, some people may feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of detail.
